We want to thank all of you who worked on
the Obama campaign. While 70% of Bradford voters voted for McCain
without your hard work that percentage may have been 80%. The
Bradford Republican Party indicted before the election they thought
McCain would win Bradford with 80% of the vote.
The 3 precincts we targeted produced much better
results for Obama. Obama won in Precinct 2 (Lawtey) with 64% of
the vote and in Precinct 7 (Reno) with 69% of the vote. In
Precinct 12 which includes Lincoln City Obama received 45% of the
vote.
I hope you will consider becoming involved with
the Bradford Democratic Executive Committee (DEC). We need your
input and support. We would like to continue registering voters
and most importantly working to get voting rights restored to convicted
felons who have served their time. Because getting voting rights
restored can take time we need to start working now so people will be
able to vote in 2010.
